Safety
W. J. Woodruff Roofing Contractors, Inc. is a charter member of the
Roofing Safety Cooperative of Wisconsin. Our company, along with
six other like safety minded roofing firms have joined together to share
a full time safety director. Our safety director is trained in all
OSHA construction requirements with an emphasis on roofing safety (including
fall protection). Our firm uses an employee safety program that includes
with roofing related and construction related safety materials and manuals,
a monthly quiz, an incentive program for safe days worked, tool box talks,
safety videos, and job site inspections.
Our safety director has many roofing safety resources available including
the National Roofing Contractors Assoc. (NRCA), Midwest Roofing Contractors
Assoc. (MRCA), Wisconsin Roofing Contractors Assoc. (WRCA), and safety
consulting firm Good Armstrong & Associates (Milwaukee). Participation
in train the trainer programs allows additional training in programs like
forklift training and asbestos roofing worker training.
Our safety director is available for job site visits before and during
the roof job and is available to meet with your company safety department
for consultation or a site specific safety recommendation.
